The biology exhibits in the museum are currently being redone: this is why the present tour is restricted to three dioramas. Depending on progress in re-styling our Website (and thus this) will be updated .

Hillside woodlands

Wooded slopes came into being on the flanks of the dry valleys and river valleys:
in places that were unsuitable for agriculture.
The combination of chalk-rich soil and climate enabled a flora and fauna to develop that is unique for the Netherlands.
This diorama provides an impression, both above and below ground.
