Southern Limburg Underwater

Displayed in six large fresh water tanks are some of the animals characteristic of southern Limburg’s streams and rivers. The tanks are cooled: the water temperature fluctuates around 13 °C. In the largest tanks swim Rainbow trout. In the other tanks the following species can be seen: Rudd, Roach, Sunfish, Perch, Minnow,White bream, Three-spined, Ten-spined stickleback, Stone loach or Groundling, Gudgeon, Ruffe, Crayfish and various species of snail and water insects.
