'Standaardcollectie'

This collection, representative of the entire Maastrichtian, incorporates several formerly private collections, including those of Blezer (… and rudists, as well as sponges and sea urchins from the Kunrade Chalk), Maatman (ammonites, sea urchins and sieved sediment samples from various quarries) and Regout (a nineteenth century collection of bivalves, corals aand snails from Mount St. Pieter and the Geulhem quarry). The collection of sieved and counted bioclast samples from the type area of the Maastrichtian amassed by P.J. Felder is also of special importance: analyses of these samples led to a renewed (eco)stratigraphical interpretation of the Cretaceous deposits.

[Agerostrea ungulata] Pergens Collection
The extensive bryozoan collection from the Maastricht chalks of Eduard Pergens (1862-1917) is amongst the most important collections in this field.
W.M. Felder collection
This, the principal collection for all subdivisions of the Liège-Limburg Late Creta-ceous, comprises a huge diversity of petrified wood, sea urchins and belemnites, a number of stratigraphically valuable ammonites and a series of large sediment samples of silicified faunas from Vaals-Eschberg.
[Granocardium sp.]
[zee-egel] Max Meijer collection
This subcollection includes many important species, including rare species of sea urchin and rudist.

Senden collection
This collection is of high value for biometric analyses of populations from the Kunrade Chalk and comprises a large number of important brachiopods.
