Museum café
The museum café is the right place for coffee, tea and non-alcoholic beverages. The reading table offers you a selection of the latest issues of periodicals and newsletters published by a range of local and regional natural societies; the leaflet rack can be consulted for an up-to-date overview of nature-related outdoor activities as well as cultural events in the area. And, naturally, there is also information on current exhibits and activities at fellow natural history museums.

By train:

Get off the train at Maastricht Central Station.
You may take a bus, walk, or ride a bike.

On foot:

It is so much easier and nicer to walk: starting in front of the railway station, continue straight on through the Stationsstraat. Cross the bridge (Servaasbrug). Continue right to the entrance of De Bijenkorf department store; turn left there. Straight on, cross the square (Onze Lieve Vrouwenplein) with the basilica on your left. From there please follow the pedestrian signs (black with gold lettering) All in all, this trip takes about 15 minutes, provided that you are not distracted by the many sights along the route

Ride a bike:
(Bikes for hire at the 'Stationsrijwielstalling' near the Central Station)

In front of the railway station, continue straight on, and cross the Servaas bridge, and turn left at the crossing to continue along the Maas River. Turn right in front of the underground car park, and cross the square (Onze Lieve Vrouwenplein), then turn left (Witmakersstraat), cross the Pieterstraat, and turn left again at the next crossing (Achter de Molens). Continue until the street turns sharply to the right: you are now in the Grote Looiersstraat. At the far end of this street you will now see the entrance to the museum !

By bus:

Bus service 3, at the Central Station, stops in the Tongersestraat. Get off there, and walk back a bit, then turn right (at the Topor wall painting). At the T junction take the second street on the right (Looiersgracht). At the far end of this street, turn right sharply and you will see the entrance to the museum.

Plan your trip:
You can use '9292ov.nl' website (public transport information) to plan your trip.
Use this address in the 'NAAR' text field:
