Mosalab news
week 16 | back

In our Mosalab, this week we are working on a block containing some dorsal vertebrae and a few isolated teeth will be prepared further.

As far as can be determined now, the block shows the dorsal vertebrae to be scattered to a large extent. A large number of ribs are jumbled up, and not all of the vertebrae find themselves in their original anatomical position.

The isolated teeth are restored; some specimens have been damaged, which requires painstaking gluing sessions.

Soon a large exhaust will be installed. This will allow the public to be directly involved during the dustier preparation work such as sawing and impregnation.

In the meantime, the museum court witnesses preparations for the arrival of the skull. In the pit which ultimately is to contain the block preserving the skull, a concrete plate foundation will be put in position this week.
